As one comes of age, youth start on a journey for the gift of an animal spirit which is granted to them by the Gods themselves. Each God chooses a Shaman to be their voice in the world, and keep the provinces peaceful and united.

But an evil long since forgotten has begun to rise once more. Will you choose to oppose it? Or give in?

Hello to you all, the wonderful members, or members-to-be, of Arx Fatalis.

I've got a couple things to update and educate you all on.

Firstly!
The Tamer and Chaser ranks are officially CLOSED! Unless you have already gotten permission to have one, no others will be given out and yes, the Hunter and Escort ranks are still closed as well. This is until further notice, so do NOT ask us when they'll be reopened. We need more regular people around the villages.

And now for the educating!

We've found that a lot of people are creating murderers and such for corrupted. This is quite possibly a bad idea for you, especially if you're planning to have your character to run amok, murdering more people in RP in their gifted/anima/animus forms.

Let me say this.

The Gods know when a murder has been committed. They send the Shamans out to deal with the murderer immediately. IMMEDIATELY. There is no chance to run away at all, and when your character is caught, they will have their gifted and anima/animus forms stripped from them. They are then taken to the Gods to pray and beg for forgiveness and are often incarcerated for a period of time.

I'll use one of my own characters as an example.

Silvan killed his father. Or rather, Letos possessed him and killed his father through him. Letos, being a spirit, was gone and unnoticed by the Shamans when they came to pick up the boy.

Silvan spent a week in a prison by the citadel, under close watch, and had his peacock form stripped. As he is still a child, he had no gifted form to strip. He prayed every day to the three Gods, asking for forgiveness for the sin he had committed, as well.

If your character's gifted and anima/animus forms have been stripped in the RP, and you want them to get them back, send a note into the club, with the name of the Leader who took the forms, and have your character pray to the Gods for forgiveness. You cannot assume that the form will be just given back whenever you want.

And the mention of Letos brings me to the final point of this journal.

A lot of applicants seem to think that Letos is still all-powerful. Which he is not.

Please, please, PLEASE, read through and note that Letos' soul is split into three different trees...each which reside on a different country.

Letos CANNOT gift your character with super strength, wings, charm, a gifted form, none of it. He makes these promises, which are often empty, to get you on his side. He needs everyone to make him stronger, so he can put up a fight against the three Gods and their Shamans.

If you do not read this and change your character accordingly, you can expect them to be denied.

<sub>On a side note. Letos isn't a horribly cruel being. Empty promises, but seriously guys. He may be evil, but he's a classy villain. He prefers silk to cotton. He loves getting gifts. And yes, he is a bit of a flirt. He'll openly kiss his faithful followers...as long as they don't mind kissing ghost lips.

He often will appear at his trees if he's prayed to by one of his followers, but don't expect him to always be there.</sub>

ALSO.
We are now accepting NPCs. If you'd like to create one, PLEASE SEND A NOTE TO US WITH INFORMATION ON THE KIND OF NPC YOU'D LIKE TO CREATE.
THERE WILL BE NO HIGH-RANKING NPCs ALLOWED. ONLY BASIC JOBS.
As an example: Butcher, Baker, Candlestick maker, etc.

You MUST get the go ahead from us first BEFORE you create your NPC and there is only ONE NPC ALLOWED PER PERSON.

NPCs will also NOT be added to the club's gallery, so when you finish, simply send a link, and we'll add it to the Club's favourites.

And yes, you may roleplay your NPC, but DO NOT roleplay them to the point where they become more active than your characters for the club.
